- The second floor felt eerily silent and empty as well, leaving David perplexed. "What the heck? Hmm, they're probably in their rooms..." the unknowing husband formulated to himself.
- Proceeding down the hall, David noticed Hank's door was closed at the end of the corridor. David concluded that his father must be sleeping or something, providing some measure of assurance. So he strode to the master bedroom, but curiously enough, he found it wide open.
- Stepping inside, David saw that it seemed vacant and freshly cleaned, the scent of new sheets and air freshener permeating the air. But then, his attention was caught by baby Lily making grunting sounds in her crib. Happily going her, David placed his suitcase down and picked his daughter up, lovingly kissing her on the forehead.
